I’m so excited you’re considering therapy and I firmly believe it can serve as a wonderful tool to your overall well being and mental health. I love helping others on their journey to wellness, no matter how big or how small the goals are. I am currently a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) with the state of Georgia and received my Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Kennesaw State University in 2014 and Master of Science in Clinical Counseling Psychology from Brenau University in 2020.
Since graduating in 2020, I’ve gained experience working with children using expressive art therapy techniques and play therapy techniques. I’ve learned effective ways to help children who struggle displaying appropriate social skills, managing ADHD, experience a lack of impulse control, and struggle forming satisfying friendships. I’ve also gained skills on aiding young adults in identifying and navigating stress and unhealthy habits. Overall, I’m very passionate about serving children, parents, and adults alike that are struggling to process and adjust to unexpected life changes.
I tend to utilize a cognitive-behavioral approach and believe that if clients are able to challenge and reshape unhelpful thought processes, they can better help themselves navigate challenging moments when alone. While I use this approach often, I also integrate other theoretical orientations based on the needs of the client. Ultimately, my goal is to create a place for clients to feel comfortable and supported being their true selves in addition to equipping them with the necessary tools to achieve a healthy state of mind.
