Welcome! I’m so glad you’re here. You probably already know a lot about yourself. Maybe you’ve been in therapy before, done the reading, understand your patterns. And you’re still stuck. That’s not a failure of insight. That’s a signal that the work needs to go somewhere deeper than words alone. That’s exactly what I do here.

NEW! I am now offering Brainspotting Intensive sessions: one to two focused days that move further than months of weekly sessions.

About Christina

I became a therapist because I believe people are capable of real change, not just better coping. I believe everyone is unique, and I love drawing from a variety of perspectives, theoretical orientations, and therapeutic approaches to find what works best for each individual I work with.

Early in my work I noticed something: talk therapy and skills training can only go so far. Understanding why you feel something doesn’t always stop you from feeling it. That’s what led me to Brainspotting. I needed something that worked from the other direction, bottom up instead of top down, through the body instead of through the mind. Combined with DBT, which builds the skills to manage what surfaces day to day, the two approaches create something complete.

I truly enjoy working alongside my clients to develop skills that work best for them, fostering growth in all aspects of their lives. My goals are to help you find your identity through personal growth, discover your purpose, develop confidence, build meaningful relationships, and gain the tools needed for success in life. I have special interests in life transitions, grief and loss, relationships, and LGBTQ+ concerns.

I’ve been working with clients since 2019. I graduated from Brenau University with a Master’s in Clinical Counseling and hold licenses in both Georgia and North Carolina. I also serve as Clinical Director at Awakenings Counseling Center, where I practice alongside a team I’m genuinely proud of. I am a proud member of the American Counseling Association.

Every therapeutic experience I offer is tailored to your goals. Please feel free to ask me about the approaches I use at any time. If you’re someone who wants to do real work, I’d love to be part of it.

What is Brainspotting?

Brainspotting (BSP): Developed by David Grand, PhD, in 2003, BSP is a unique psychotherapy approach that uses your field of vision to locate eye positions, or “Brainspots,” that correlate with your neural and emotional experiences. By focusing on these Brainspots, BSP helps identify, process, and release core sources of emotional pain, trauma, and other challenging symptoms. This method combines diagnosis and treatment, using bilateral sound and fixed eye positions to enhance deep healing. BSP is particularly effective for treating trauma, significantly reducing tension and hyper-arousal linked to fight, flight, or freeze responses.

What’s a Brainspotting intensive?

What Intensives Are

Intensives are extended therapy sessions (half-day or full-day) designed to accelerate progress when weekly sessions aren’t enough. They’re ideal for addressing trauma, emotional blocks, or major life transitions using Brainspotting.

Who They’re For

Clients who want focused work without the interruption of weekly scheduling, or those seeking momentum after a plateau in therapy.

What to Expect

Each intensive includes a 1 hour consultation beforehand to clarify goals and a 1 hour follow-up after the work. Breaks are built in throughout the day.

Investment

Each intensive includes a 1-hour planning session, the customized intensive itself (3–5 hours per day, one or two consecutive days), and at least one 1-hour follow-up session for integration and ongoing support.

The investment for a one-day intensive begins at $1,200, which covers:

  • Planning session ($150)
  • 3-hour intensive ($200/hour)
  • Post-intensive session ($150)
  • $300 administrative and materials fee

Two-day or extended intensives are available and priced accordingly based on total hours.

Insurance does not cover intensive work, and payment is due at booking.

How to Schedule

Request a consultation through the contact form, and we’ll discuss the best structure for your needs.

What is Dialectical Behavior Therapy?

Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT): Alongside BSP, I also use DBT, which focuses on teaching skills in mindfulness, emotional regulation, distress tolerance, and interpersonal effectiveness. DBT is particularly effective for individuals struggling with emotional dysregulation, self-harm, and relationship difficulties.
